The New Land Rover Defender at Land Rover Tacoma Offers Luxury and Performance

Power and Performance Specs
All of the new Defender models have 4WD, a dual-speed transfer case, hill descent control, and Terrain Response. When properly equipped, the Land Rover Defender pulls up to 8,500 pounds.
The Defender 90 and 110 models might have the base P300 variation. The drivetrain has an inline four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Defender 130 models get an upgraded version of the P300, which consists of a supercharged and turbocharged V6, 3.0-liter engine that delivers 296 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque.
P400 drivetrains are available for all of the Defender models. The configuration is a tweaked variation of the second P300 drivetrain having the V6 engine. Land Rover's improvement provides 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque while accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.
The Defender 110 and 130 SUVs might have the more powerful P500 drivetrain, with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that achieves 493 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. Defenders equipped with the V8 achieve 60 mph in five seconds.
Our Defender 90 and 110 models are also available with top-level performance drivetrains like the P525. The upgrade consists of the same supercharged V8 in a higher state of tune to generate 518 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. The SUVs require a mere 4.6 seconds to achieve 60 mph.

Exterior/Interior Design
Land Rover manufactures the new Defender models in the short, two-door 90, the midsize, three-row, four-door 110, and the largest 130. Sharp lines and rounded flared wheel wells accent the overall boxy exterior. Matte cladding surrounds the lower body. Tinted windows protect privacy while reducing glare. Square light fixtures grace either side of the rear door that holds the spare tire.
The Defender's interiors accommodate five to eight passengers, depending on the size of the SUV chosen. Entry-level cabins are partially upholstered in leather and boast soft-touch surfaces, multiple textures, and monochrome or dual tones. Base vehicles also have heated, power-adjustable seats and a power-adjustable, heated steering wheel. Advancing up the trim ladder gives the SUV more luxurious amenities.
Technological Amenities
Beginning at the base Defender S level, the SUVs do not require a key to unlock the doors. An electronically powered roof enhances the views while increasing natural interior light. Drivers have 12.3-inch digital instrument displays and an automatically dimming rearview mirror, which protects vision at night. All enjoy the year-round comfort provided by the automatic climate control system that regulates two zones.
The well-appointed infotainment system has an 11.4-inch touchscreen, allowing smartphone integration. Bluetooth enables hands-free phone usage. Each unit also has navigation software plus a premium 10-speaker stereo with HD and satellite radio. Front-seat occupants have the convenience of a wireless mobile device charging station, while others can access multiple USB ports.
