It can be frustrating to walk outside and see a leak underneath your car. There are several things that can cause your car to leak. Antifreeze can cause your vehicle to leak. The antifreeze helps prevent your engine from overheating. If you see a bright orange or green leak, then it is most likely caused by an antifreeze.

Battery acid is something else that can cause a leak. If the battery casing is damaged, then the battery will leak. You may also notice a rotten egg smell. You may need a new battery if it is leaking. Brake fluid can also cause your vehicle to leak. This type of leak is less common, but it can be dangerous. The fluid will likely be yellow in color.

If you see something that looks like water from your car, then it probably is. The water may be coming from your cooling system.
