Understanding your suspension system

Our team here at Land Rover of Tacoma want to make sure that you're informed on the different systems in your vehicle. The suspension system in your car helps to make your drive smoother, and here are some tips for keeping it in working order.

Your suspension system works to improve your vehicle's handling along with minimizing the bumps and vibrations from the road. Over time, your suspension system will need some work. Ball joints, bushings, and tie-rod ends will wear out even with normal use. If you've hit a pothole or curb, it can also damage your suspension system as well.

If you start to notice that your vehicle starts to have handling issues or a bumpier ride, it could a sign that your car needs to be looked at. On average, your shocks and struts should be serviced around 50,000 miles but driving conditions can make this need sooner.
